Position Summary:
Oversees and manages the Student Nutrition Warehouse to ensure proper accountability of warehouse inventories and ensures deliveries of products to all schools is done in a timely and efficient manner.
Supervision:
The warehouse manager works with an elevated level of independence and professional discretion under the general supervision of a designated school administrator. The warehouse manager’s work is governed, controlled, and evaluated by acceptable professional practice, school and district policies and regulations, provisions of Taos Municipal Schools district policies and procedures, direction of the supervisor, and performance standards and expectations as set forth in the collective bargaining agreement.
Duties and Responsibilities listed may include, but are not limited to the following:
- Reports directly to the Student Nutrition Program Coordinator or designee at District Warehouse
- Responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of the warehouse storage facility necessary to insure the upkeep and safety of the stored products. These duties may include minor maintenance and repairs as expertise and equipment available allow.
- Duties include but are not limited to daily maintenance and organization of the warehouse storage area including dry storage, coolers, and freezers.
- Maintenance of commodity and regular purchase food and non-food products
- Knows, understands, and complies with all Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) regulations.
- Maintenance of all commodities, regular food and non-food inventories and distribution on a first in, first out basis.
- Receive and document all commodities, regular purchase food and non-food and general supply orders.
- Maintains commodity, process commodities, regular purchase food and non-food inventory notebook.
- Maintains temperature log for all frozen, cooler, and dry storage units in the warehouse.
- Distribute and document all food, non-food, commodity, and general supply to all food service programs as per submitted by food service managers and approved by Student Nutrition Program Coordinator or designee.
- Work as substitute cook or server as needed and requested by SNP manager and approved by Student Nutrition Program Coordinator or designee.
- Participate in all prescribed/required training as directed by Student Nutrition Program Coordinator
- Works cooperatively with student nutrition staff personnel, school principals, teachers, students, and parents
- Performs such other job-related tasks as set forth in job description and assigned by Student Nutrition Program Coordinator
- Communicates effectively with school staff, including principals, teachers, parents, and students
- Works as a collaborator for the improvement of the local school and district student nutrition program
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent and 1-3 years’ experience.
- Custodial or related experience preferred.
- Valid Driver’s License
- Safe Serve Certification
- Excellent people skills to deal with school students, faculty, staff, and parents.
- Must be physically capable and willing to perform and comply with the performance duties and responsibilities.
- Meet all health requirements as specified by law.
- Attend all in-service and other related training as directed by food service manager or food service supervisor.
- Attend all in-service and other related training as directed by Student Nutrition Program Supervisor

It may be expected that the individual could be exposed to blood or other potentially infectious materials during their duties.
- The warehouse manager may be required to travel in school owned or leased vehicles while delivering to school sites.
